Abstract
Image analysis has emerged as a vital research area in computer vision and artificial intelligence. Recent advances in deep learning have enabled significant improvements in image classification, object detection, segmentation, and visual recognition. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of image analysis techniques, focusing on convolutional neural networks, transfer learning, and transformer-based models. The paper discusses preprocessing techniques, feature extraction methods, evaluation metrics, and practical applications in healthcare, remote sensing, agriculture, surveillance, and industrial automation. Current challenges and future research opportunities are also examined.
