Abstract
Smart warehousing has become an essential component of modern supply chain management by transforming traditional warehouse operations through advanced digital technologies. This paper examines the concept, objectives, applications, impacts, challenges, and future scope of smart warehousing. It highlights the role of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, automation, and real-time data analytics in improving inventory management, operational efficiency, order fulfilments, and customer satisfaction. The study adopts a descriptive research design based on secondary data collected from books, journals, conference papers, industry reports, and other reliable sources. The findings indicate that smart warehousing helps reduce operational costs, enhance productivity, improve inventory accuracy, and strengthen overall supply chain performance. However, challenges such as high implementation costs, cybersecurity risks, and the need for skilled professionals continue to affect its adoption. The paper concludes that smart warehousing is a strategic solution for organizations seeking sustainable growth, operational excellence, and competitiveness in the rapidly evolving logistics industry
